Seduction Product Reviews -> PUA Training

PUA Training Bootcamp Review

Haven taken both Mystery Method and RSD bootcamps before, I was slightly dubious as to what new material the London based PUA Training could provide me with. Judging from reviews I'd read, they appeared to teach a natural form of seduction,. I was curious to see how they could teach someone to be a "natural" and to be honest, I didn’t really think it was possible.

The boot-camp started at midday on Saturday. The 12 of us on the bootcamp introduced ourselves and discussed which areas of our game we would like to improve. Around the room there was selection of men more diverse than I had expected, from the chronically shy to the already alpha naturals wishing to polish up their game. The bootcamp was held in a central London club, the very same nightclub that we were to sarge in later that night. This worked well, as it helped many of the students who were uncomfortable with nightclubs and the whole scene to feel more at home, and therefore be more confident with their surroundings and themselves.

Master PUA Richard La Ruina (AKA Gambler) started off the evening by talking about pre-game in clubs, namely…how to appear sociable, dominant and high value. He also emphasised the importance of not being the ‘creepy guy‘, sharking around the club, hunting for women. Gambler told us "If you stand around all serious or gawky, constantly eyeing over the dance floor, no girl's going to want an approach from you". For anyone starting off, this advice on how to make a good first impression before your opening is gold dust. His advice on posture, position and enjoying yourself really explained how to stop people thinking you’re a pickup artist on heat, and make them want to talk to you.

Gambler then went on to explain the importance of body language and how to use it to convey your best possible traits to a girl. This was fairly universal stuff but vital if your not familiar with it. Gambler explained that most men who are shy or uncomfortable in their social environment subconsciously
demonstrate this to everyone they meet by their use of bad body language. He then went on to explain and demonstrate correct body language: Locking in, body rocking, movement and a great little technique to stop you fiddling with your hands (You’ll have to take the course to find out about this, my lips are sealed). Many AFC’s concentrate on learning openers and canned routines, when body language is infinitely more important to a successful pickup. I found this part of the boot camp really useful, although I don’t think that I ever had a massive problem with my body language, it was great to become self aware about my movements and how they are interpreted by the people I interact with.

We then moved onto the basics of day game, beginning with a few openers, then a nice little section on ‘how to challenge girls‘, build rapport, push-pull techniques and closing. I liked the way they kept the canned lines and routines to a minimum, explaining a general overview of their theory instead. Overall though I believe they spent a little too much time on the arm chair theory when day game really is best learned in field. So I was relieved when they took us out for the practical part ( maybe this is just me, short attention span!).

From the second we were led outside, my instructor made me approach this cute blonde Colombian girl (about an 8) walking down the street alone. He gave me the line: "I had to tell you. You look just like Little Red Riding Hood in that jacket". This got a smile and stopped her in her tracks, from which point I tried some of the methods I’d been taught earlier. After a short chat and number close, I was feeling pretty happy to have my first approach and close successfully under my belt. Credit must given to my instructor, Alex, who had such a positive vibe and contagious energy; it just destroyed my approach anxiety! I found the more and more sets I opened, the less big a deal it became. Me and another student then watched him number close a 2 set, two sophisticated Spanish girls, a 6 and an 8. After watching him in action another couple of times, I went and approached a few more sets myself, resulting in a facebook close. By the end of the session I was brimming with confidence, and strangely…I didn‘t feel like a robot, I felt like a natural. But my excitement was quickly diluted when I found out that more than half the other students (many of them total newbie’s) had number closed during the session!

After the excitement of day game, we headed back to HQ for a lecture from PUA Beckster. His lecture was one of the highlights for me! He taught us many key principles of club game including: Kino, Anchoring, Association and some other fantastic techniques that again, you’ll have to see for yourself. Beckster is a powerful speaker, whose confidence and charisma really inspires you to get up and go. He not only gave us original intelligent routines, but showed us the right way to pull them off, and how to appear natural and congruent while doing so.

At around 6 o'clock, some of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen in my life strolled into the bar, the HB Helpers! The girls were brought in for us so that we could practice everything we’d learnt during the day on them. We approached them at the bar and did our very best to open them! The girls were all playing different roles, one was shy, one was a bitch etc. The girls; Ranging from the quietly friendly Hungarian model, a ball-breaking Russian alpha female…put us through our paces. We were systematically told to open the sets, and hold their attention for a few minutes. Under the circumstances it was intimidating stuff but excellent practice for later on in the night when the club opened and we would be let loose on ‘real’ girls. I found this part of the boot camp particularly challenging, but it was very rewarding. I’ll admit, I was a little rusty…but the feedback from the girls and the trainers was invaluable.

Then the club opened and it was show time. The instructors sent everyone in to open sets until approach anxiety was a thing of the past. Just being with the instructors and knowing the other guys on the course, gave you social proof….we worked the club and introduced ourselves to various groups. I opened sets with the openers I’d been given earlier…something was wrong though, this stuff was really working! I took a look around the club at all of the regular guys propping up the wall in the corner, buying girls drinks and I had something of an epiphany, I’d broken through, I’d seen the matrix! It was honestly one of the best nights out I’ve had in years, not only did I learn a lot…but I also put it into practice and got some great results. 11 number closes, three kiss closes later and it was time to go home.

The next morning, feeling slightly worse for wear I headed down to the bootcamp where I met up with the rest of the students…who to my surprise, were all smiling as much as me. It turned out everyone in the group had done well the previous evening. Some got numbers, some got kisses, and some got more. And one very lucky guy, who shall remain nameless here…managed to pull two strippers!

Sunday was more focused around inner game, and confidence building techniques. We were spoken to by an NLP instructor who taught us frame control and how to improve our self worth and not be intimidated by approaching sets. Anthony P (a PUA who has sarged with Mystery, Style and many other greats) described how to use observational openers, and how to use game naturally. Some of his advice was contradictory to that of the other trainers, which was sometimes confusing, but it was refreshing to hear different, original view points on pick up. Trainer Kezia, an definite HB, talked to us in small groups about building rapport, using hooks and keeping the conversation interesting. Through role play we practiced these skills on her. She was extremely critical but very helpful, its not often you hear true advice from a girl's point of view. Most of all, her brutal honesty gave me invaluable info that I hadn’t picked up on previously.

Later on in the day we tried more street approaches, this time using ridiculous lines, with a mission to actually get ourselves blown out of a set (without being offensive). This sounds strange but it was actually very useful, in order to push your boundaries and realise that you can say and do far more than you think you can before someone is actually rude to you. I tried in vain, making stupid statement, after stupid statement, I was raucously forward, but no one told me to go away- it really was an eye opener! We then gamed in a sex shop, which was different, to say the least. Two out of the three students managed to get a number close….I unfortunately was the odd one out, this time.
After lunch Gambler spoke to us about sexual escalation and the best way to kiss close. This stuff was unbelievable, there were no routines as such, he taught us a lot about eye contact and vocal tonality and then went on to his three phases of seduction. I must admit, when I first read about the three phases of seduction I didn’t really ‘get it’, but seeing Gambler put it into action, I have to admit…I was converted, this was really powerful stuff, and there wasn’t an opinion opener in sight!

Beckster then went on to teach us text and dance game. I found the text game particularly useful as I was slightly put off by all the texts I was going to have to send when I got back from the weekend! Beckster taught us a solid, easy to implement text template, he even explained the follow up texts. He then went on to teach dance floor game, again I was impressed…the moves were simple, fun and they looked great.

With everything we’d learned over the weekend it was time to head out once again
Tonight not only would we putting into practice all that we had learnt, we would also be learning a different kind of game. The previous evening we’d been in a club, it was loud, physical and energetic…tonight was Sunday though, there just wasn’t going to be the same kind of vibe, or energy…we would have to adapt to our new surroundings.

We hit numerous bars around central London, it was quiet, but there were still plenty of gorgeous women about. The hardest part of opening a set was getting there before another student did, everyone just seemed so much more confident and at ease with opening and talking to beautiful women. Beckster led my group, and consistently pushed us into set. Not only did he actively encourage us to sarge, he also demonstrated his skills to us by opening sets himself…sometimes mid set you’d feel a hand on your shoulder and it’d be him, coming in to wing you. From what I heard after the boot camp, most of the students did really well that evening…I’m afraid that I didn’t get to see any of it, a stunning Brazilian girl I’d met earlier that day made sure that of that.

Initially, I was sceptical of PUA training. I just didn’t see how you could teach someone to be a natural with women, it almost sounded lazy, like they couldn’t be bothered to come up routines and techniques. This however, was not the case. After being on both RSD and Mystery Method courses you would have thought I’d have this area of my life completely handled, but I didn’t…there was still much to learn.

The weekend was packed with theory, demonstations and live in field pick ups. Not only did I have a blast, but finally I felt that I’d got this area of my life handled. I would recomend this course to….everyone! Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro wanting to make the transition from robot to natural, this course will help you. In fact, forget that, this course will blow your reality.
